About Our Founder
Omolayo Michael-Joshua.
With a solid background in nursing from the College of Nursing, UBTH, Benin City, and specialized training in psychiatric and mental health nursing in Yaba, Lagos, Omolayo's journey as an entrepreneur was born out of her deep-rooted passion for business.
From an early age, she found joy in helping her mother run her shop, with the most exciting part being counting the day's earnings—a moment that sparked her love for commerce. Driven by a desire to support herself through school, she ventured into the jewelry business in 2018 while studying nursing. A simple gift from her mentor—a few brooches for personal use—turned into a business opportunity when she realized how much people admired them. Recognizing a gap in access to quality accessories within her immediate environment, she took the initiative to bring brooches and other jewelry straight to the doorsteps of students in her hostel.
Her unwavering passion for business and commitment to excellent customer service has kept Delayo Collections thriving over the years. While entrepreneurship comes with its challenges, the joy of seeing satisfied customers, glowing reviews, and photos of them wearing her pieces makes every effort worthwhile.
Beyond running Delayo Collections, Omolayo is a psychiatric and mental health nurse and the founder of Mental Health Repositioning, a brand dedicated to promoting mental well-being.
